Job Description

Overview: As a freelance Senior/Staff Nurse in Nigeria, you leverage your nursing qualifications, skills, and experience to offer remote healthcare services to clients across the country. Responsibilities:

  1. Telehealth Consultations: Conduct remote consultations with clients to assess their health concerns, provide medical advice, and develop personalized care plans. Utilize telemedicine platforms to communicate effectively with patients, address their needs, and offer guidance on managing their health conditions.
  2. Health Assessment and Monitoring: Perform virtual health assessments to evaluate patients’ health status, identify risk factors, and monitor their progress over time. Use digital tools and medical devices to collect and analyze vital signs, symptoms, and health data, ensuring accurate assessment and timely intervention.
  3. Patient Education and Counseling: Offer health education and counseling to clients on various topics such as disease prevention, medication management, lifestyle modification, and self-care practices. Empower patients to make informed decisions about their health and adopt healthy behaviors that promote overall well-being.
  4. Chronic Disease Management: Provide specialized care and support to patients with chronic health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and HIV/AIDS.   5. Wound Care and Dressing Changes: Assist clients with wound care management, including assessing wounds, cleaning and dressing wounds, and monitoring healing progress. Educate patients and caregivers on proper wound care techniques and preventive measures to minimize the risk of infection and promote optimal healing.
  6. Medication Management: Conduct medication reviews, reconcile medication lists, and educate patients on proper medication use, dosage, and potential side effects. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure medication adherence, prevent drug interactions, and optimize therapeutic outcomes for patients.
  7. Emergency Response and First Aid: Provide remote guidance and support in emergency situations, including assessing medical emergencies, administering first aid interventions, and coordinating emergency medical services as needed. Stay composed and act swiftly to ensure the safety and well-being of patients in critical situations.
  8. Health Promotion and Disease Prevention: Promote health awareness and disease prevention initiatives within the community through educational campaigns, workshops, and outreach programs. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Valid nursing license and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
  • Proven experience as a Senior/Staff Nurse in clinical settings, with a minimum of [X years] of nursing practice.
